Photo Collage of the Holidays!

Ladies and gentlemen, it is officially 2013, and this is our first post of the year! Woohoo!

I can't believe how fast time goes by. I feel like December started two days ago, and all the excitement of going/being back home for the holidays is almost coming to an end.

I started looking at all the pictures I took with my phone during the past month (and the holidays in general), and realized I had taken so many that I had a mini diary of events. You can literally go through my phone and see what I was up to most days of the month.

I decided to make a little collage with some of my favorites to show them to you. It was pretty fun. I highly encourage you to do one (and if you do, please show them to us;)). I hope you enjoy them!

How was your New Year's Eve?

Besos,
AB

PS: I can't believe I came to the end of this post and didn't even wish you a "Happy New Year"... HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!

House of Lashes and Happy New Year!

Again, sorry for being such terrible bloggers and not posting anything at all! To keep you updated, Angela is now in Colombia and I am in Venezuela. Here's where we spend our holidays.

I am now searching for ideas to do my make-up on New Year's Eve. Do you have any cool sugestions? All I know is that I want my eyes to be glittery. I also want to use either gold or silver on my eyeshadows, and of course, falsies! Then, I remembered I had been meaning to post about this AWESOME website that sells natural (human-hair) handcrafted lashes. They are absolutely beautiful and I think you should check them out here.

If you are into make-up I am sure you must have heard about House of Lashes. They're the new big thing in the lash world. Not only because they look so real and natural, but because they are reusable and affordable.

I received two sets of lashes some weeks ago, and have been crazy about wearing them but haven't found a good glue yet (do you know of any?). Some of the ones we had weren't sticky enough and maybe too old.

I am not big on wearing lashes because I don't like it when they look like a piece of fake plastic on girls' eyes. I decided to give these a try after seeing them on another friend. They looked so real, I would have never thought they were fake. It sounds funny, but I am actually very excited about wearing them and I hope I can find glue before tomorrow night!

What are your plans for New Year's Eve? What are you going to wear?

I want to wish you the best for 2013!!
Thank you for staying with us this year, we really appreciate the love you give us <3

Lots and lots of besos,
AB

Now that we haven't been able to post anything for a while, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to introduce you guys to an extremely cool online store I discovered over the summer.

Suzywan Deluxe, is a brand created by two French and Swedish designers who refer to it as "the love-child of French and Swedish culture." Everything they make is handcrafted to perfection in their studios in Stockholm. I have to tell you, the products are just as awesome as they look on the website... and you'll be seeing us wearing some of those very very soon (as soon as our camera is fixed).

In case you get too excited looking at this pictures and feel like buying everything in their store now, guess what? It's Christmas at Suzywan DELUXE and it's generous! Get 20% discount on all the items in the shop using the code "CHRISTMAS" http://shop.suzywan.com/ - VALID till 12/12/12, so good luck!

Halloween Ideas part 3

If you don't own a costume and were invited to a Halloween party, you should try the Pop Art look:

First, use a black eye-liner to fill in your eyebrows and line your facial expressions.

Then, outline your lips and apply eye-shadow on your lids.

Outline the eyeshadow on your lids, and use two different lip color tones to paint your lips. Use the darkest lip color as your lip base, and the lightest one to create the glossy cartoon look.

Paint red dots, uniformly, all over your face, and finish the look by applying mascara and/or falsies.

The final look

My friend, Breana, tried to achieve the Roy Lichtenstein's blonde girl look, but you can search for other characters and do the same. I think this is a very rare Halloween costume, and a great idea if you really want to stand out from the crowd. I was thinking about trying it out myself and painting some vampire fangs on my lips, but I guess it'll have to be next Halloween, since I already have my costumes.

I hope you try this costume idea, for which you only need make-up and a cute dress.

Halloween Ideas part 2

As Angela explained on the last post, we had an early Halloween party last Saturday and I dressed up as "Alice in Wonderland". I saw this costume at Buffalo Exchange last weekend and really liked it, for those who don't know what BE is, it's a store that sells used clothing. It's cheaper and if you look carefully, you could find very cool stuff.
So, the original costume was called "Lt. Blue Mary" and all the accessories were red, but in my mind this dress looked like Alice, plus I saw this amazing high heels at Forever 21 and they were the perfect combination, so it was a cascade of events :)
I hope you guys like it!!! Are you excited for Halloween??? I know I am ;)
Love,
AL
